What are the best things to do in Singapore Airport?

Singapore is one of the most popular destinations globally, and it’s easy to understand why. This Southeast Asian country offers a little something for everyone from culture to cuisine, from shopping to surfing. Singapore is so diverse that you could visit numerous times and never run out of things to do or see. This is true even if you’re stuck in the airport, so we’ve compiled a list of our favorite best things to do in Singapore Airport for your next layover.

Here is a list of best things to do in Singapore Airport:

1. Take your time at the transit lounge

Get over that 24-hour wait by taking full advantage of what’s on offer at our famous transit areas! Visit duty-free shopping outlets such as DFS Galleria, which includes luxury brands such as Gucci and Prada. Also, there are plenty of food options such as Japanese Sushi or Italian Gelato. The best part about it? You don’t have to buy a ticket to enter, and best of all it’s duty-free.

2. Shop on budget at the departure transit lounge

This is one of the best things to do in Singapore Airport as you can choose from an array of Travelodge stores such as Tiger, Starbucks, and Books Kinokuniya. Here you will find everything you need for your trip plus more.

3. Look out for art pieces

We are proud to have famous pieces by artists such as Sebastiao Salgado adorning our corridors. You can also find art pieces showcasing Singapore’s rich culture and heritage at every corner in the public areas! Make sure to take pictures with them 🙂

4. Watch a movie @ SilverCinema

With all the latest movies and best Hollywood movies, there’s no way you’ll get bored at the SilverCinema! Screenings start from 6 am daily.

5. Explore The ArtScience Museum

This is one of the best things in Singapore Airport as it features the best local and international exhibitions. One exhibition has been voted Best Exhibition Worldwide, which means this place screams culture and history.

6. Go on a swimming escapade at the Sunflower Outdoor Pool

This pool is open daily from 7 am till 10 pm, and the best time would be after a quick dip before or after your flight. What makes it even better is that entry is free for transit passengers only. There’s also plenty of lounges with comfortable seating available to lounge upon.

7. Lounge with a view at the Transit Hotel

For those hungry and who prefer to eat in transit, the best thing to do is one of my best things to do in Singapore airport, which is to check out the newly opened Transit Hotel. Along with the best kopi and chicken rice, you will also enjoy the best views of the beautiful Changi Airport. The best part about it? It is open 24/7.

As you can see, there are many things to do at Singapore airport. Whether it’s an hour or a day before your flight, there is something for everyone. There are plenty of shops and restaurants that offer great food options and entertainment venues like movie theaters and games rooms.
