The Greatest US Cities to Visit

There is no doubt that the United States of America is packed with some of the most iconic cities on the planet. Each one of the metropolises that we are going to talk about in this article is worth spending your time enjoying over at least a few days. Be warned; after reading this article, it is highly likely that you are going to want to visit all of them! So, let’s get started on our tour of America’s greatest cities.

New York

We simply had to start with the Big Apple. Just some of the world-famous attractions that you can visit here include the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, and Times Square. And there is certainly no shortage of things to do on holiday in New York. If you are looking for culture, head over to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim or the West End. If you are looking for food, you will find cuisine from all over the world. If you are looking for nightlife, there are endless bars to choose from. Ultimately, this is the kind of city that offers something for everyone.

San Francisco

Watch the mist drift slowly across the bay and you will know that you have arrived in San Francisco. While you are here, don’t miss out on hopping on board one of the old trams and you will feel like you have stepped back in time. But you should also use your own two feet to wander around the diverse neighbourhoods. And, of course, there is nothing like seeing the Golden Gate Bridge for the very first time.

Chicago

Situated on the shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago is the third-largest city in the United States, but you may be surprised by just how walkable it is. Famous for its deep-filled pizza and for being the home of some of the tallest skyscrapers in the country, you should also take the time to enjoy the music and performing arts scene. On sunny days, you can enjoy the outdoors in the lakeside neighbourhoods.

New Orleans

New Orleans is the kind of city where no one walks away disappointed. Known for its wild Mardi Gras celebrations and jazz music, it has been steadily recovering since the ravages of Hurricane Katrina to regain its former glory. The characterful French Quarter is one of the most fascinating neighbourhoods in which to take a stroll, and you should certainly see Bourbon Street during both the day and nighttime.

Las Vegas

Finally, we come to the original city of sin, Las Vegas where bachelor party packages are common. Each of the opulent casinos seems grander than the last, and you can get a true impression of how incredible the city is when you ascend to the top of the 113-storey Stratosphere. The bravest in the group can have a go on the three death-defying rides on top.

Any one of these five cities would make for an incredible holiday or break, and a chance for you to see the American dream in action.
