3 Autumn Accessories You Need to Have This Season

Do you feel that? The air is getting a bit colder. The leaves are changing. This year has been uncertain when it comes to so many things, but not the seasons! Fall is finally upon us, and that means cooler temperatures and a change to your wardrobe.

Now is the time to leave the light colors of the spring and summer behind. Focus on earthy tones, warmth, and make sure you’re accessorizing in a way that makes you feel confident and put together.

Not sure where to get started? We’ve got you covered when it comes to the essential fall accessories that should be in your wardrobe this season.

1. A Fashionable Hat

It’s far too easy to grab that old, tattered stocking cap out of your closet when the weather starts to get cold. But, hats should be as fashionable as they are functional. Switch it up this season with a stylish fedora, a newsie cap, or even a cotton watch cap from buzz rickson

The right hat can truly complete any outfit, whether you’re working outside, commuting, or simply taking a stroll through your neighborhood. If you don’t usually wear many accessories, a hat is a perfect ‘introduction’ piece to add to your collection.

2. Upgrade Your Bag

Are you still carrying a backpack or briefcase with you wherever you go?

Autumn is the perfect time to upgrade your everyday bag and turn it into an essential accessory.

Briefcases can easily feel outdated and cause you to look older and out of touch with today’s style. On the other hand, if you’re carrying around a backpack, it can make you look younger, unprofessional, and add a lot of bulk to your overall ‘look’.

Upgrading your bag to something with a handle or something that can go over your shoulder and across your torso will give you a professional appearance and can help to slim down your torso.

3. A Minimalist Watch

Now, more than ever, it’s important to declutter and appreciate the simple things in life. That includes changing out your watch to something more minimalistic and impactful. Fall is a season of change. A minimalist watch with a simple leather strap can actually make a bold statement, whether you pair it with dark jeans and a cardigan or you wear it to the office.

It’s a great way to keep your days on track without looking unprofessional. It also offers a nice alternative to things like the Apple Watch or other digitized offerings. If you do want something digital, there are still plenty of watches out there that offer an old-fashioned face while giving you all of the digital and technological advancements you’re looking for. It’s the best of both worlds if you’re a tech-lover.

The temperatures in the U.S. this season will average just over 50 degrees, depending on where you live. But, the season should be about more than staying warm. Take advantage of neutral tones, textures, layers, and accessories. In doing so, your autumn wardrobe could be the most stylish selection of your entire year.
