Spot Treating the Pain with CW Botanicals

Knee pain is something I have accepted as a daily part of life stemming from an injury and surgery while in the Marines. When the weather changes, I can feel it in my joints, or when driving a manual transmission, it will be swollen up afterwards, all courtesy of the life-long side effects of the injury. And while it has not slowed me down much since then or hindered my movement, at times it can be a bit more than a nuisance n the evenings. I typically just wait for the swelling to go down and pain to pass and to the joy of my girlfriend, shake my leg all night until it’s gone.

So what could I do beyond popping a few pain pills? Well, seeing the success of my use of  CW Botanicals‘ hemp oil in the past, I decided to give the new Charlotte’s Web Infused Gel Pen a try. Designed for spot treatment through the topical gel infused with cannabidiol (CBD), it comes in a nondescript pen easy enough to throw in my work bag or toiletries when I travel, and is as easy to use as chap stick.

Perfectly discrete and stored in the daily bag.

So came my first manual car for review in months, meaning that night my knee was going to be a bit sore and the perfect time to give the topical gel a shot. With my joint fully swollen and the pain enough for me to be uncomfortable, I applied the CW Botanicals gel around my knee cap and over the areas where my knee cap had been shaved down. The gel applied evenly and cleanly, and while the smell is not as pleasant as the oils, it was simple, painless, and clean. Going about my routine afterwards, I began to notice a drop in the swelling and discomfort, not totally leaving, but lowering enough to be noticeably more comfortable.

This has gone on for the whole week, from pain stemming from workouts to general discomfort, I have used the gel men multiple times to spot treat the pain away and move on from the discomfort. A few months back, I may have been a skeptic of the values of hemp oil, but you can truly say my mind is changed. While I am not a doctor, have no medical training at all, and won’t highlight the benefits beyond what I have experienced, it was worth the exploration of the idea.

To give it a bigger shot, I’ll be giving my old man his own gel pen to see how he feels afterwards with his aches and pains (other than those caused by me of course), and am confident it will be positive. And I want to invite you all to give it a shot too and have secured a 30% off deal for our readers using the code CW2015 through the online store here: Charlotte’s Web Infused Gel Pen.
