A Field Watch For Everyday

I love watches.  Maybe a little too much.  I have a wide collection of these timepieces, and I love to wear the right ones for the right outfits.  But I have always lacked that casual flair, that piece to wear while just grabbing a beer with the guys or going on a hike.  I’ve been a bit too focused on the classy collection to even think about the other side.  But Bertucci Watches recently released their Nautical line, and they caught my eye.

Off the bat, it’s a basic watch that is built right.  It is easy to wear, easy to clean, and has a bit of fashion to it.  The watch I added to my collection has a orange nylon strap, which can quickly and easily be swapped out for another one of their affordable strap, paired with a black face and orange numbers.  A bit more on the flashy side of watches than I am used to, I have learned to love it for a daily watch.  The watch itself has a titanium body, and even after months of wear, has shown very few scuffs and marks that often come with titanium jewelry.  Overall, it’s a watch that looks great.

It’s the functionality that really sells it for me though.  I have a watch that can so easily pair with daily outfits, or even the off chance of a suit with a similar colored tie, while also being durable enough to put up with outdoor adventures.  I like that I can replace the straps for a very affordable price (around $10) and even swap them out quickly with other patterns and materials for a different look.  And maybe that’s what we need to start looking for.  While my collection is growing, maybe looking at a watch as a more functional daily item would be key for ensuring that value.  The Bertucci Nautical does provide that, and for now, I can’t see that impression changing.
