3 Sports You Can Play at Home

With lockdowns flowing around all over the place, it can be hard to know what to do with yourself. Suddenly, it feels like your wildest dream and worst nightmare came true all at once, in which you actually get asked to stay home and do nothing, but it’s because of a global pandemic that has proven itself rather deadly as well. Nonetheless, there are only so many movies on Netflix to watch, and you may even feel nauseated at the sight of an Instagram icon by now – so what to do? Well, this may come across as rather old-school, but there are tons of fun things you can do outside as well. Before you start rolling your eyes and say this sounds like your parents who used to beg you to go outside and “get some sun on your face”, consider these three sports you can play at home.

Soccer

Who doesn’t love a good game of soccer? Exactly – this is a great team sport that can involve the entire family, or even your friends if they’re staying with you. All you need is a soccer ball, a net on each side, and you’re good to go. You can even make your own goal spaces yourself by placing two objects a few feet apart and use that to kick the ball through. Be warned, however, you may need someone to act as referee, seeing as things can get pretty heated in a soccer match, and you’ll need an objective opinion on who gets the credit!

Basketball

This activity will make you feel like all your muscles are burning, which is a good thing! Basketball can either be a fun game you play by yourself by shooting some hoops or even with a friend. The great thing is, it can even serve as an intense workout session if you feel like you’ve gained a few lockdown pounds. You can try researching some great portable basketball hoops at https://basketballfly.com/, which will give you a pretty good idea of what to get. Apart from that, a basketball and a lot of water are all you’ll need to have a great time while playing for hours on end, which happens most of the time.

Volleyball

Oh yes, volleyball made the list! Probably one of the most exhilarating sports you can play, volleyball is always a crowd pleaser and gets everyone involved and very competitive. Of course, you can go for the pool volleyball option, which will have a net with sides that aren’t too long in order to fit right above the water. But, if you don’t have a pool, don’t worry about it! You can also go for the usual ground volleyball, which is just as fun. There are many options available when looking for the gear, but you definitely won’t regret buying yourself a kit because you can never get enough of a good volleyball game!

These are just some exercise ideas on what you can do other than stay inside the whole day. Who knows, before you know it, you might even have an array of backyard sports you can play at home – the options are endless!
