]]> After a long Monday, there is often nothing better then coming home and having an amazing cocktail.  In our case, one of our go-to drinks is the Manhattan, a drink originated at the Manhattan Club in New York City in the early 1870s, where it was invented by Dr. Iain Marshall.  And we are very happy he did.

  • 2 3/4 ounces rye whiskey (We love Bulleit Rye with this drink)
  • 1/2 ounce dry vermouth
  • 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Lemon twist, brandied cherry, for garnish

Recommended glass: coupe glass

Combine the rye, dry vermouth, sweet vermouth and bitters in a cocktail shaker, add ice, and stir until chilled. Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with the lemon twist and brandied cherry and serve immediately.
