Try This Morning Routine For A Healthier Life

Waking up in the morning can be a task. Not all of us are naturally morning people and this can cause us a lot of issues if we have to work early in the morning. But waking up early is not just something we have to do, it is also something which is good for us.

Making a new habit to wake up early in the morning can be hard, so make sure that you help yourself by repairing your watch (click here), using a loud alarm clock, and setting yourself some things to do. This is a healthy morning routine which you can try this summer to help you get the most of our day.

Take a cold shower

This might sound like a crazy idea, but actually, taking a cold shower might be exactly what you need first thing in the morning. A cold shower will awaken all of your senses and this can be a great thing for you early in the morning. It will allow your body to stand to attention and will also likely give you a lot more energy which is a great thing.

Stretch

The best way that you can start your morning is to get out of bed, shake yourself out of your sleep and get straight into stretches. Stretching is something which is always great for you and there is no better time to do it than right as you wake up in the morning. Stretching your muscles will lengthen them and this will help to get the body ready for a healthy day of movement.

Drink lemon water

Before you consume anything else in the morning, it is always a good idea for you to drink lemon water. Lemon water is a drink which is packed with vitamins and it will be a great accompaniment to your body first thing. Lemon water is a great tool to kickstart your metabolism for the day and this means that by the time you eat or drink anything else, you will already have an active metabolism which will be effective for digestion.

Have a protein-rich breakfast

Instead of simply grabbing your coat and coffee and running out of the door in the morning, it is always better for you to eat a big breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it will set your body up for the day ahead in a healthy way. You can make a breakfast such as bacon and egg on toast with avocado and this will give you healthy fat, some carbs and of course it will also give you lots of protein for the day. Having a big breakfast will give you the energy to get going in the morning and it can prevent you from snacking too much later on.

Do some quick exercises

When it comes to working out, a lot of us really do struggle. The idea of going for a workout every day is stressful and many of us simply don’t ever take the time to do it. However, if you follow our morning workout this will be an easy way to train your body within 5-10 minutes and it will help you stay fit and strong. You only need to do 5-10 reps of each of these exercises and do them when you have stretched:

  • Pushups
  • Sit-ups
  • Crunches
  • Lunges
  • Squats

Only have 1 alarm

So many of us make the mistake of setting loads of alarms in quick succession in the morning and this can make us feel a false sense of security and stay in bed for much longer than we should. It is much better for you to set 1 alarm and stick to it, and this means you will wake up right away and you can get started with your day. It can be hard to wake up early, but it will give you more time to get ready for the day.

Take your time

The mad rush of getting ready for work in the morning is one which no one enjoys or looks forward to and it can be stressful for us all. Rushing in the morning to get to work only leaves us feeling stressed and irritated and this is something which can have an effect on you all day long. The best thing you can do in the morning is to wake up 20 minutes earlier, and make a cup of tea for yourself and enjoy the morning. Your mornings should be calm and clear and you can make this into a real part of your day. Take your time and watch the news, and then get ready in a much happier mood!
